Aguascalientes.- Guadalajara continues to be unbeatable and this Friday night won their fourth victory after barely beating the Rayos by the minimum difference on the last date of the Clausura 2022, moving them up to fifth position in the standings and will have to wait to see what Atlas and Puebla do to see if they can improve their position, having improved their goal difference with respect to their rivals; in any case, they will be sure to host the Reclassification duel at home.

From the beginning of the match, both teams attempted to open the scoring. El Rebaño was the first to knock on the door, as at 6', 'Tiba' Sepúlveda connected a corner kick, but just over the crossbar. The response came four minutes later, when Fernando Madrigal took a powerful line a few meters from the front of the goal, but 'Wacho' Jiménez leaned to his left to one-hand the ball that was looking for the base of the goalpost. In the following play, Alexis Vega escaped at full speed and on reaching the final third of the field, he put a through ball between the defenders to set up 'Charal' Cisneros, who struck the ball with a first-time shot, but the goalkeeper held on to the ball.

Minute 15', 'Charal' put in a half-high cross in searching for 'Chelo', but Malagón cut the play off just before the player from Guadalajara could push the ball into the net. A minute later, Brian García opened up the flank for Giménez, who put in a header that Mier deflected towards the corner. Chiverío came close to opening the scoreboard at 20' from a free kick, after 'Chelo' set up the ball for 'Checo' Flores, who took it as it came, but his right-footed shot went just wide of the goalkeeper's goal. The locals responded at 23', but Escoboza's shot glanced off the outside of the net.

The refereeing controversy arose just at the start of the second half, as in minute 46, Alexis opened the scoring with a cross shot inside the area, but the goal was disallowed by the VAR due to an alleged offside position by Zaldívar before Vega's action, the curious thing is that the decision remained in the silent check and the referee did not review the play himself. At 63', Canelo received the ball with his back to the goal and unloaded for Alvarado, who shook off the mark and then shot, but crossed it too far. At 72', Angulo stole the ball in midfield and sent Cisneros down the flank, who tried another shot, just wide of the goal.

At 74', 'Lalo' Torres sent Chicote down the flank and he put in a cross into the heart of the area, but the goalkeeper made a good save. At 82', 'Wacho' put on his hero's cape, as he flew to save Facundo Batista's header, which flirted with the upper left corner. In the final minutes of regular time, Chivas found their just reward when in the 89th minute Miguel Ponce, fresh off the bench, appeared alone in the small box and smashed home an Alexis Vega corner kick to send the ball home and seal the victory with a solid header.
