The Clausura 2022's Champions are not allowing any time to relax and that is why, after searching for the ideal pieces to strengthen the team for the next season, Chivas Femenil has announced the signing of Adriana Iturbide, who will undoubtedly be very important in the search for the red & white team's second consecutive championship.
'Boyi' plays as a center forward, is 29 years old and was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Iturbide formerly of the red-and-black team, the only club she has played for in the pink circuit, made her debut in Liga MX Femenil in the Apertura 2018 season and since then has played 111 games, 101 as a starter. Her best goal-scoring quota in a semester was in Guard1anes 2020, in which she scored 10 goals.
The attacker from Guadalajara is characterized by her goalscoring instinct, proven by 2 hat-tricks and 8 braces in her account. This quality has led to her having been called up to the senior 'Tri', with which she made her debut in 2019 against Italy and that same year she scored her first goal with the national team against Hungary.
What will Adriana Iturbide bring to 'Pato' Alfaro's system? There were periods during the tournament where Alfaro tried to play with a 5-3-2 formation, looking for more play for Alicia Cervantes, he was forced to use Jaramillo as an attacker or try and find another option. With the arrival of 'Boyi', the team could adapt this formation more naturally, as she would be the ideal partner for 'Licha'. Iturbide is good at positioning herself in the box and for getting the best out of her goal attempts, as well as playing wisely in the final third of the field.
With her goal-scoring instincts and individual technique, we're sure Iturbide will be a key asset to the Campeona2 and Chingona2 attack.
WELCOME TO CHIVAS, 'BOYI'!
