With its sights set on regaining the Liga MX Femenil crown as soon as possible, Chivas Femenil continues to bolster its squad for the 2023 Clausura Tournament and is now adding, international midfielder, Litzy Serna, who will bring her explosiveness and dynamism to the Chingonas' scheme.
What's her play style and what is she bringing to the Rebaño?
The midfielder plays mainly as playmaker, although she also has the ability to generate danger down the flanks, so she can be used as a right winger. Because of her speed and ability to break free, she can constantly get into the box, creating space for her teammates, as well as having a great eye for goal.
What about her professional career?
The Mexican-American midfielder has had an outstanding career in U.S. soccer. She started playing with Salt Lake Community College in 2017 and from 2019 to 2022 she saw action with Colorado State University-Pueblo; in both squads she was chosen captain. During that period, she has also played with different teams in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL), Colorado Rapids being her club of origin.
