This Monday, Liga MX announced the nominations for the Golden Ball for the Apertura 2024-Clausura 2025 season and Chivas is present, as Hugo Camberos stands out in the category of Best Rookie of the Year, who since his debut in the maximum circuit shone with his own light with several individual touches and some performances to remember.
The Rebaño Sagrado's number 58 made his debut on Day 1 of last year's tournament against Santos, making an immediate impact thanks to his dribbling skills and ability to read the game, which led to the penalty that eventually gave Guadalajara its first three points of the tournament.
In total, Hugo played 15 games in the semester, 10 of them as a starter, in which he scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist. His outstanding performances not only earned him a regular place in the Guadalajara team, but he also received multiple call-ups to National Teams, where he recently won fourth place in the Maurice Revello Tournament with Mexico U-20.
