The Fiesta Grande of the 2025 Apertura is underway, and Guadalajara's youth teams have already played the first leg of their respective tournament phases: the U-15s in the semifinals and the U-21s in the quarterfinals. With the first chapter of each bracket closed, here's what the Rojiblanca youth teams need to take another step on their way to the title.
Under-15
Chivas' Under-15 team won 4-2 against Toluca in a match that was dominated by the Rojiblancos from start to finish. The Guadalajara team set the pace from the first minute with an early goal by Santiago Becerra, and shortly after, a deflection by the opposing defense increased Guadalajara's lead. Later, Becerra himself scored a double in the 54th minute to maintain the Rebaño's dominance, and finally, René Godínez sealed the victory for Guadalajara in the 68th minute.
Thanks to this advantage, the Rebaño has the upper hand in the second leg, as any win, draw, or even a one-goal loss will be enough to secure the title. The second leg will be played in Toluca on November 23, at 9:00 a.m., on Field 2 in Metepec.
Under-21
Meanwhile, the Under-21 team has already played its first leg in the AP25 Quarterfinals against Tigres, where the Rojiblancos and Regios tied 1-1 at the Verde Valle facilities. Guadalajara's goal was scored by Ariel Castro in the 48th minute.
With this scenario, Guadalajara must immediately focus on the second leg, as they are forced to win by any score to qualify for the semifinals, since their position in the table and the tie in the first leg prevent any other result from allowing them to advance. The decision will be made on November 22 in the Sultana del Norte, at the Zuazua fields, at 9:00 AM.
