Luis Arce’s side drew 1-1 against La Máquina in a hard-fought match from start to finish and came close to claiming all three points. However, they were unable to secure the extra point in the penalty shootout. With this result, Guadalajara reached 12 points in the tournament.
In the first half, despite Rojiblanco pressure, the Cementeros opened the scoring in the 32nd minute through Samuel Espinosa. The response came quickly, as Diego Covarrubias found space inside the box to level the match.
