Chivas Sub 21 Earns Commanding Victory Over Toluca

28/02/2026 12:32 / Melissa Hernández

On Saturday morning, Chivas Sub 21 once again showcased its quality with a hard-fought 1–0 win over Toluca in Metepec as part of Matchday 8 of the Clausura 2026. With the result, the Rojiblancos reach 15 points and move, for the moment, into sixth place in the overall standings.

From the opening whistle, the Rebaño imposed its personality on the match, taking control and generating steady pressure in the attacking third. It was a tightly contested battle, but persistence paid off. A well-executed set piece ultimately proved decisive and paved the way for the Rojiblanco victory. Between the posts, Robinho Romero delivered when the team needed him most, coming up with a crucial penalty save that preserved the lead and secured all three points.

The focus now shifts to the next challenge: the Clásico Tapatío, set for Saturday, March 7 in Nextipac.

The Goal

70’ — Rosales strikes! A dangerous corner kick from the right found the Rojiblanco defender, who read the play perfectly, slipped away from his marker with intelligence, and fired a precise left-footed finish into the back of the net.
