With their spot in the playoffs already secured for several rounds, Guadalajara now has a new objective in sight: finishing the Clausura 2026 Regular Season as the league’s overall leader. That’s why the upcoming matches against Necaxa and Xolos, corresponding to Matchdays 16 and 17, carry significant importance for the team.
With this in mind, Gabriel Milito and his coaching staff have designed a training plan that will allow their players to compete at maximum intensity in the final two games of the schedule. These matches will take them to Aguascalientes this Wednesday, before closing out the Regular Season at Estadio AKRON on Saturday.
In addition to aiming for the top spot, the team is also looking to surpass the 34-point mark, which they have reached on four previous occasions in short tournaments, in order to set a new club record.
