“Together we’ll complete the comeback, Chivahermanos!” – José Castillo

07/05/2026 13:43 / Roberto García

The belief that a comeback is possible is stronger than ever, Chivahermanos. Guadalajara is training with maximum intensity ahead of the second leg of the Clausura 2026 Quarterfinals against Tigres, where they’ll have the overwhelming support of the Rojiblanca Nation at Estadio AKRON on their side.

They say 90 minutes at the House of Mexicans are veeeery long, and combined with the unity between the team and fans across the globe, it could make possible the two-goal victory Chivas needs to advance. José Castillo made that clear while speaking to the media after Thursday’s training session at Verde Valle, encouraging every Guadalajara supporter to push the team toward its objective.

“Unity has been key this week. We’re fully aware of the challenge ahead, but we want to show the unity within the team. The group is solid, united, and completely conscious of what we need to do.”

“This series will come down to what we can do ourselves. We know the individual quality they have, but this has to be decided by the strength we’ve built at home: the support of our fans is vital for us.”

“We trust in the group’s ability and the resilience we’ve shown to get through situations like this.”

“The playoffs are a completely different tournament. You have to perform at your highest level, especially at an institution like Chivas. I’m excited because we believe we can overturn the scoreline, and we’re confident it’s in our hands.”

“Amaury sent a very powerful message of support. He’s someone who shows he’s close to the institution, to us, to the coaching staff, and to everyone around the club. It was a strong message considering what he represents in Mexico. The way he addressed us was spot on, and we felt that support from the club president.”

“There’s confidence in us and in the possibilities we have. Amaury believes we can turn this around, and so does everyone throughout the club. That motivates and inspires us to give our very best.”

“We have all the tools needed to handle the absences of the national team players who won’t be available, as well as the injured players. This is a deep squad, and we trust ourselves to overcome those absences.”

“Scoring early would be the ideal scenario. We understand how important patience will be, but we also want our desire and determination to make the difference to show from the very first minute. We need to play an excellent match to overturn this situation.”

“This match defines our path in the tournament. We want to keep making history, and we know how difficult it is against an opponent of that caliber. The first step is believing it’s possible and understanding that we have all the tools to make it happen.”

“We have to turn the page quickly. A knockout series is decided over 180 minutes. It was a tough emotional blow, but we know we still get to close the series at home, and we believe we’re fully capable of getting the result we need to advance.”

“This group has stayed united all season long. Even though we were very consistent, we faced adversity, so this is nothing new for us. We trust that this series can be decided by what we do as a team.”

“We want to be a worthy team, one that competes for all 90 minutes and gives the fans hope. The support of the Chivahermanos will be key on Saturday—we know exactly what’s at stake.”

“There are still 90 minutes left in the series. The tie is still open, and that alone is enough motivation to chase the comeback.”
