Talking about Adolfo Bautista is talking about magic and unforgettable moments wearing the Guadalajara jersey. Today, the ‘Bofo’ celebrates another birthday, and the Nación Rojiblanca has plenty of reasons to honor one of the most iconic footballers to ever defend the colors of the Sacred Flock.

Adolfo Bautista Herrera was born in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, on May 15, 1979, and left an unforgettable mark during his two stints with Chivas, where he played 10 seasons and scored 39 goals across Liga MX and Liguilla matches. His talent and personality made him the face of an entire generation of Chivahermanos.

Among the most memorable chapters of his career is the Apertura 2006 title, where he played a key role in helping Guadalajara capture its 11th league championship. In fact, Bautista achieved a very special milestone during his career: he scored in five different Mexican football finals.

In addition to the Liga MX title, Bautista starred in unforgettable nights with the club he loves in the Copa Libertadores, memories that remain alive in the hearts of the entire Nación Rojiblanca, especially that historic 4-0 victory over Boca Juniors at Estadio Jalisco in 2005, where the ‘Bofo’s magic was instrumental.

His connection with the fans was always special, and in 2018 Club Guadalajara honored him with the Rojiblanca Award at Estadio AKRON, a recognition that certifies him as one of the most influential footballers of his generation.

Today, the Red-and-White Nation fondly remembers the footballer who turned the number 100 into a symbol of talent and love for the jersey.
