That Saturday night, Chivas and Bravos met in Matchday 6 of the Apertura 2024. The occasion also marked the first-ever Chivas match broadcast on Amazon Prime Video, the platform that began bringing the Rebaño’s home matches to millions of Chivahermanos. And there could not have been a better way to launch this new era than with a true celebration at Estadio AKRON.
While the Nación Rojiblanca enjoyed a brand-new way to follow the team they love, Guadalajara cruised to a commanding 5-0 victory over FC Juárez. To this day, it remains the largest winning margin between the two clubs in Liga MX competition.
Armando “Hormiga” González opened the scoring, while Fernando Beltrán, Roberto “Piojo” Alvarado, Alan Mozo and Yael Padilla each added a goal to cap off a perfect night at the Fortaleza Rojiblanca.
