Today is a very special day for the entire Nación Rojiblanca and for the history of Guadalajara! On July 30, 2010, Jorge Vergara's dream became a reality. On that day, the Home of All Mexicans officially opened its doors for the first time—a stadium built with a unique vision: to honor the greatness of Guadalajara, provide every Chivahermano with a world-class matchday experience and take the Rojiblanco pride beyond Mexico's borders.
Sixteen years later, Estadio AKRON has established itself as one of the premier sporting venues on the continent. It has hosted historic matches, world-class concerts and, most recently, the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Above all, however, it remains the home of Mexico's most beloved and popular club: Guadalajara, where the heart of the entire Nación Rojiblanca beats every two weeks.
