How are the teams coming into their second Leagues Cup 2026 match?
- Guadalajara played to a 1-1 draw against Los Angeles FC in its tournament opener, with Roberto “Piojo” Alvarado finding the back of the net. LAFC claimed the extra point awarded by the Leagues Cup through the penalty shootout, prevailing from the spot after the match. With that result, Chivas earned its first point of the 2026 Leagues Cup campaign.
- FC Dallas opened the tournament with a 2-0 victory over Querétaro, thanks to goals from Santiago Moreno and Joaquín Valiente, giving the MLS side three points in the group stage.
- This will not be the first meeting between the two clubs. In fact, it will be their third encounter. The first came in the 2007 SuperLiga, when they played to a 1-1 draw. A year later, they met again in a friendly match, which Guadalajara won 2-1.
