San Jose, California.- It was not the afternoon Guadalajara had hoped for. The Rebaño Sagrado battled for the full 90 minutes, created several dangerous opportunities and had chances to open the scoring, but failed to convert them and ultimately fell 1-0 to FC Dallas in their second match of the First Phase of the 2026 Leagues Cup, played at PayPal Park.
Chivas looked to impose their conditions from the opening minutes and had a strong performance during the first half, in which they managed to threaten the opposing goal. However, despite their attempts, the Texan side found the breakthrough in the second half and managed to hold onto their lead until the final whistle.
Now, Guadalajara will have to turn the page and focus on their final match of the international tournament, where they will look to close out their participation with a victory this Wednesday night, when they face the Seattle Sounders in Seattle.
