The Cantera Rojiblanca continued its journey through the Apertura 2026 this Saturday with matches against Pachuca in Jornada 6 of the tournament. Guadalajara earned the extra point with the Sub-21 after drawing 2-2 against the Tuzos and winning 5-4 in the penalty shootout, while the Sub-19 looked to find the back of the net but ultimately fell 5-0 to the Hidalgo side.

How Did the Cantera Rojiblanca Fare Against Pachuca?
Sub-21 (Men’s)
Guadalajara’s Sub-21 played an exciting match against Pachuca at Cancha 5 of the Universidad del Futbol in the capital of Hidalgo, where the Rebaño battled with intensity to rescue a draw. Just 3 minutes into the match, Anwar Ben Rhouma found the back of the net to put Guadalajara ahead and give the rojiblancos the lead. However, the hosts responded with Anderson Rosales equalizing in the 6th minute, while Cristóbal Hernández put the Tuzos ahead in the 37th minute before halftime.
Despite this, the Rebaño refused to give up and continued searching for the equalizer throughout the second half. In the 82nd minute, Anwar Ben Rhouma stepped up once again, taking a free kick that found the back of the net to make it 2-2 and complete his brace. With these two goals, the rojiblanco forward reached 4 goals in the tournament.
The draw sent the match to a penalty shootout, where Chivas prevailed 5-4 to earn the extra point.

Meanwhile, Guadalajara’s Sub-19 faced Pachuca in a match where the Rojiblancos fought to find the back of the net throughout the 90 minutes. However, the Hidalgo side opened the scoring and took a 3-0 lead before halftime, with Ulises Martínez scoring in the 2nd and 12th minutes, along with a goal from Santino Loza in the 14th minute.
After the break, the Rebaño tried to respond and find a way back into the match, but this time they were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. Pachuca added two more goals through Ulises Martínez in the 49th minute and Santino Loza in the 54th minute to make it 5-0 in favor of the hosts.
