Despite the fact that Chivas took the initiative, created chances and constantly looked for the opponent's goal, they could not overcome the deficit and fell 2-0 to Querétaro this afternoon at Estadio AKRON. The Rojiblanco side thus finished Matchday 10 of the Apertura 2026 with 18 points in the overall standings.
It was a difficult afternoon for the Rebaño, as they had to battle from behind from the opening minutes after an error in buildup that the opposition knew how to capitalize on. Without ever hanging their heads, and with the good football that characterizes them and the mentality that has defined Gabriel Milito's Chivas, the team went in search of an equalizer despite the opponent's conservative approach.
The Rojiblanco manager looked to turn the match around with his halftime substitutions, but a Querétaro counterattack sealed the result.
Guadalajara will not have any Liga MX action next week due to the FIFA international break. However, they will play El Clásico de México in Oakland, California, next Sunday, October 4, at Alameda County Coliseum, as part of Tour Rebaño 2026.

- Gallos opened the scoring in the 11th minute following a Rojiblanco mistake in buildup, which Ali Ávila converted.
- In the 67th minute, the visitors extended their lead on a counterattack finished by Mateo Coronel.
Dangerous Chances
- In the 9th minute, Romo saw Sandoval get in behind on the right and sent him a low cross from three-quarters of the pitch, but the young Rojiblanco's shot hit the outside of the net.
- In the 14th minute, Kevin Castañeda found space between the lines and fired a right-footed shot after quickly turning, but it went just wide of the post.
- BRIAN WITH A ROCKET! In the 19th minute, Gutiérrez drove forward at full speed through the middle of the pitch and, upon reaching the edge of the box, unleashed a wicked shot that just missed the outside of the post.
- In the 33rd minute, Camberos received the ball unmarked outside the box on the left and sent a low shot that Alison could only just stop.
- In the 45+2nd minute, Hugo once again cut in from the left, got past two defenders and curled a right-footed shot toward the far post, but it went wide.
- CASTAÑEDA AGAIN! In the 47th minute, with time and space, Kevin struck the ball with his right instep, sending it violently toward goal and forcing the goalkeeper to tip it over for a corner.
- On the following play, Marín appeared at the far post to head a cross toward goal, but Alison was fortunate to get a touch and deflect the ball away.
- This time it was Romo in the 50th minute, with another rocket from the edge of the box that forced the goalkeeper into a full-stretch save.
- In the 58th minute, following a good collective move from the Rebaño, ‘4K’ turned inside the box and fired a left-footed shot toward the near post, which Alison managed to gather.
- In the 62nd minute, Marín had equalized with a header from inside the six-yard box, but the referee disallowed the goal for a previous foul.
- In the 80th minute, Jordan tried his luck from long range, but could not get the right height on his shot.
