Alan Mozo joins Chivas

31/05/2022 10:45 / Club Deportivo Guadalajara

As part of the squad for the Apertura 2022, Club Deportivo Guadalajara announces that Alan Mozo has joined the club as of today, reinforcing the right wing, as well as contributing to the collective effort of getting Chivas back to the top positions in Liga MX.

Mozo is 25 years old, is a native of Mexico City and was formed in the youth academy of Pumas, the club he made his debut with in Liga MX, curiously enough in a match against Guadalajara in the 2017 Apertura and in what from today will be his home, Akron Stadium.

The now red and white defender accumulates 161 official matches played, distributed between League, Cup, Leagues Cup and Concachampions, in which he has 19 assists and 1 goal.

In addition, the player from the capital has been considered for the Tri on several occasions: Gerardo Martino called him up to play a couple of matches with the senior national team, and Jaime Lozano used him in 7 matches with youth national teams, including the Esperanzas de Toulon tournament in 2019 and the 2020 Pre-Olympic Team, a tournament that Mexico won by beating Honduras in penalties.

Alan took part in the process in the road to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and despite not being on the final roster, he met and worked with several Chivas players, such as Fernando Beltran, Alexis Vega, Roberto Alvarado and Jesus Angulo, which will help his adaptation stage to be much faster.

What will Mozo bring to Guadalajara's game? As a winger or right winger, Mozo fits perfectly in a formation with a line of 5, since one of his main virtues is his incorporation with and without the ball in the last third of the field, which will allow the Chiverío to attack deep on that flank. In addition, he has a good short dribble and is a good crosser, which will help bring the red and white attackers closer to the goal.

We have no doubt that his quality and footballing contribution will help the Rebaño Sagrado achieve their goals in the Apertura 2022.

 WELCOME TO CHIVAS, ALAN!!!!
