This Saturday there were several very significant activities in the Perla Tapatía, and as part of the party that represents the second leg of the Arbol de Gernika Trophy between Chivas and Athletic Club, the host offered a reception for the Basque club with a little taste of the culture of Jalisco, in downtown Guadalajara.
What happened? Here we tell you all about it:
Both teams trained in the morning, Chivas at Verde Valle and Athletic at Akron Stadium. Afterwards, several players, coaches and directors of both teams went to the Historic Center of the capital of Jalisco, first to take the official photo for the second leg of the Arbol de Gernika Trophy, right in front of the Coat of Arms monument of the city of Guadalajara.
Before and after these pictures were taken, Veljko Paunovic and Ernesto Valverde took the opportunity to exchange ideas and talk about the current situation of their teams, amidst a great atmosphere between the representatives of the two clubs, headed by their presidents Amaury Vergara and Jon Uriarte.
As expected, there were many fans present, both from Chivas and multiple supporters of Los Leones. After mingling with fans who were happy to have their photo taken with the players, all those involved moved on to the Guadalajara Municipal Palace, where some activities were held to share a bit of the culture of Jalisco with the guests from the Basque Country.
