Great news, Chivahermanos! A few moments ago, the list of 21 players who will represent Mexico in the U-20 World Cup, to be played in Chile from September 27 to October 19, was made official.

And, as expected, the Rojiblanco youth academy will have three players participating, as national coach Eduardo Arce included Sebastián Liceaga, Yael Padilla, and Hugo Camberos for the World Cup. The three Rebaño Sagrado players were part of the Tricolor's preparation process for this tournament, earning their spots throughout the call-ups.

Sebastián Liceaga plays as a goalkeeper and has extensive experience in Guadalajara's youth categories, climbing divisions until he became a regular player for Tapatío in the 2025 Apertura. He is a left-handed goalkeeper with good height, excellent footwork, and good one-on-one saves.

Yael Padilla made his professional debut in AP23 with Chiverío after an outstanding training process in the Rojiblanca youth academy. Since his entry into the top flight, Padilla has been a constant catalyst in Gabriel Milito's team's attack, with 52 Liga MX games and 7 goals scored.

Finally, Hugo Camberos emerged as a pleasant surprise at Chivas during CL25, thanks to his individual quality, reading of the game, and offensive ability, which also stood out in the Rebaño Sagrado's youth categories in all divisions. During the soccer year, he has played 20 Liga MX games and scored twice.

Mexico is in Group C of Chile 2025 alongside Brazil, Morocco, and Spain. El Tri will open its campaign against the Amazonian side on Sunday, September 28, at 5 p.m.; it will then face the Europeans on October 1, at 2 p.m.; and it will close the group stage on October 4, at 2 p.m., against the African side.
