The Cantera Rojiblanca had an intense morning featuring a pair of demanding matches at Verde Valle. Guadalajara’s U-21 and U-19 sides faced Pumas this morning in their respective Matchday 8 AP26 fixtures.

At this level, the Rojiblancos were involved in an intense match that ended in a scoreless draw. Luis Arce’s side controlled possession for stretches of the game and created several chances in attack. Two clear opportunities for Anwar Ben Rhouma in the 57th and 73rd minutes were proof of that, with both chances forcing the Felinos goalkeeper into excellent saves to keep the Rojiblancos from taking the lead.
In the penalty shootout, our goalkeeper Robinho Romero stepped up by saving two penalties, playing a key role in securing the extra point for Guadalajara from the spot.

Guadalajara’s U-19 side endured a difficult morning, falling 0-2 to Pumas. The Rojiblancos were forced to chase the game from the opening minutes after conceding in the 11th minute, with the Felinos doubling their advantage before halftime.
In the second half, the Rebaño were reduced to 10 men following a questionable second yellow card. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Alberto Ascencio’s side continued pushing in the final third, but they were unable to convert their chances and get back into the match.
