It was an afternoon filled with smiles at Verde Valle, Chivahermanos! This Tuesday, Guadalajara welcomed Yeshua and Víctor, two young people with disabilities who had the opportunity to fulfill one of their biggest dreams: meeting the Chivas First Team players in person.
This visit was made possible thanks to Sueña Chivas, a program by Fundación Jorge Vergara, which continues working to bring the Rebaño Sagrado closer to those who need it most and create inspiring experiences that bring joy to children and young people.
A Very Special Experience with the Rebaño Sagrado
From the moment they arrived at Verde Valle, Yeshua and Víctor’s excitement was clear. Accompanied by their families, both had the opportunity to watch Guadalajara’s training session, follow their favorite players’ activities up close, and enjoy a very special afternoon at the home of Chivas.
The Moment They Met Their Idols
After training, one of the most anticipated moments arrived: meeting the First Team players. The Rojiblancos approached them to say hello, chat, take pictures, and sign some items, creating memories they will surely cherish forever.
During this special encounter, Yeshua and Víctor shared moments with players such as Bryan González, Diego Campillo, Jordan Carrillo, Jonathan Pérez, Rubén González, Brian Gutiérrez, Daniel Aguirre, Efraín Álvarez, Kevin Castañeda, Luis Romo, Ángel Sepúlveda, Santiago Sandoval, Hugo Camberos, and Ricardo Marín, who signed autographs and took pictures with the two Chivahermanos.
One of the most heartwarming moments came when Yeshua met Raúl “Tala” Rangel, his favorite player, who also made a thoughtful gesture by giving a gift to both Yeshua and his parents.
The visit also had a special reason to celebrate, as Yeshua was turning 17, and Roberto “Piojo” Alvarado joined in the festivities by surprising him with a birthday cake. Meanwhile, Víctor was especially excited to finally meet “Piojo,” one of his biggest idols.
Making Dreams Come True: One of Fundación Jorge Vergara’s Greatest Strengths
Through initiatives such as Sueña Chivas, Fundación Jorge Vergara and Guadalajara reaffirm their commitment to using soccer as a tool to create positive experiences, promote values, and bring children and young people closer to their role models.
