On Wednesday, July 30, the opening ceremony of the 31st edition of the 2025 Chivas Cup, one of the most important tournaments for youth soccer in this country, was held at AKRON Stadium. In addition to the high level of competition in the tournament, there are scouts looking for talent for the Rojiblanca youth academy.
The opening ceremony was a celebration, as in addition to the good atmosphere among the participating teams, there was an emotional video of 'Chapo' Sánchez welcoming all the young people who gathered at the AKRON Stadium. In addition, to conclude the ceremony, there was a show with flags and LED lights.
From July 31 to August 3, more than 100 teams from the 2007 to 2011 categories, as well as the women's division, will compete at different venues throughout the city: Campos Nápoles, Las Palmas, Soccerlife, and CART, which are once again opening their doors to host this amateur soccer festival.
The quarterfinals and semifinals will be played on August 2, while the grand finals will be held on Sunday, August 3, in the morning, all at Campos Nápoles.
