This weekend, the Chivas youth teams saw action in Matchdays 15 and 16 of the Apertura 2025, where some of Guadalajara's categories took home a Clásico victory against their archrival in the city. As usual, here we share the complete details of the performance of the Rebaño Sagrado's youth teams as the tournament draws to a close.
Under-21
The Under-21 team won the Clásico Tapatío by defeating their archrival from the city 2-1 in Matchday 15 of the AP25, where Atlas took the lead in the 12th minute, but the Rebaño reacted with character and managed to turn the game around thanks to goals from Luis Olivas in the 53rd minute and Diego Latorre in the 71st minute.
With this valuable victory, Guadalajara moves into seventh place overall, within the qualifying zone, with 23 points.
Under-19 (Men)
The Under-19 team played its own edition of the Clásico Tapatío and did so with authority, beating Atlas 4-1 in J15 of the AP2025. The match was completely dominated by the Rojiblancos, with goals from Zinedine Hernández in the 34th minute, Brandon Brocksom in the 68th minute, and a brace from Aldrin Mariaca in the 85th and 90th minutes, while Dominic Román scored for the visitors in the 71st minute.
With this result, the Rebaño is in ninth place overall with 24 points, tied with the eighth-place team.
U-19 (Women)
As for the U-19 Women's team, the Rojiblancas tied at home against Santos in J16 of AP25. The visitors took the lead in the 23rd minute, but the Rojiblancas responded in the 36th minute with a goal from Cinthia Cabrera to even the score.
With this result, Guadalajara remains in fourth place in Group 2 with 22 points.
Under-17
The Under-17 team also faced Santos in Matchday 16, although on this occasion the result did not favor the Rebaño, who lost 1-2. Chivas took the lead in the 25th minute with a goal from Edgar Vargas, but the Guerreros came back with goals in the 35th and 79th minutes. Although the Rojiblancos pushed hard until the end, there was not enough time to equalize the score.
The team will have to quickly turn the page and focus on their next match to keep their qualification hopes alive, as they currently sit in fifth place in Group 2 with 21 points.
Under-15
Chivas' Under-15 team beat Santos 3-1 in J16 of AP25, in a match where the Rebaño took the lead in the 24th minute with a goal from César Quintana. Minutes later, Erick Galíndez extended the lead with a brace in the 42nd and 62nd minutes, while Ricardo Rivera scored for the visitors in the 70th minute.
With this result, the Rojiblancos remain leaders of Group 2 with 35 points, consolidating their good run in the tournament.
