Showing character, determination and an unwavering attacking mentality, Guadalajara defeated Juárez 1-0 in front of a roaring crowd at Estadio AKRON on Matchday 2 of the Apertura 2026.
From the opening whistle, Gabriel Milito's side dictated the tempo with an aggressive high press. The Rojiblancos recovered possession quickly and created danger through sharp combinations, switches of play and fluid attacking movements that showcased El Rebaño's style of play. However, the visitors' defense held firm to keep the score level heading into halftime.
Far from slowing down after the break, El Rebaño continued to push forward and never stopped searching for the breakthrough. The reward finally arrived in the dying moments of the match. With virtually the last play of the game, Roberto 'Piojo' Alvarado turned Guadalajara's dominance into the winning goal, sending Estadio AKRON into celebration with a clinical finish.
